AluFoldDirect transforms a multi-million-pound development near Manchester

15 October, 2018

A one-year project to transform a tired office block into state-of-the-art luxury apartments has wowed new buyers.

A one-year project to transform a tired office block into state-of-the-art luxury apartments has wowed new buyers.

Sixty stunning flats have been created as part of a multi-million-pound canal-side development called Bridgewater House, near Altringham.

Cool and contemporary, these statement properties boost the highest standard of build and specification with products from award-winning AluFoldDirect featuring heavily throughout the impressive Blueoak Estates project.

Slim, durable and secure, ALUK 58BW windows were fitted as part of the development. Internally, in anthracite grey and externally in traffic yellow RAL 1023, they incorporated trickle vents and louvre panels.

Internally-glazed, the thermally broken window units sustained energy efficiency within the one and two-bedroom apartments.

In total, 590 pieces of glass were used in the development – and AluFoldDirect delivery were split over 19 phases to avoid having to store products at the site.

Justin Hurst, managing director of Hurst Contracts, completed the office transformation on behalf of bespoke Cheshire-based property developers, Blueoak Estates.

He says: “The apartments sold really fast and we’ve already seen flurries of new buyers move in.

“We broke the project down into three phases and we’re currently working on the final one.”

Chatting about the overall development, Justin says Bridgewater House was a very straightforward refurbishment and he’s delighted with the near-finished development.

He says: “When I go into a project like this, I use a solid team and rely on guaranteed, problem-free products in the refit. I have a trust-worthy management team on site and we call on only the best electricians, plumbers and other tradespeople.

“After that, we source the very best products and this time we decided that AluFoldDirect would be perfect to provide us with what we needed.

“There’s massive growth in using aluminium products in the residential market and we believe homeowners like to see wide expanses of glass, that only aluminium frames can provide.

“We fitted stylish ‘walls of glass’ which complemented each apartment to create a multi-purpose social space.

“AluFoldDirect was impressive. The products were of good quality and the delivery was fast and efficient.

“The aftersales service was good too and if we had queries, there was always someone on the other end of the telephone.

“When you’re working on a project of this size, it’s important that deadlines are met. One glitch can really delay things and I can’t let that happen.”

Buyers snapped up apartments at Bridgewater House, nestled in the sought-after area of Timperley, as soon as they were released for sale. The apartments, which have one or two bedrooms, offer sophisticated open-plan living with a lavish sprinkling of luxury.

The modern development is just seven miles out of Manchester and offers a tranquil retreat from city life.

Tim Mooney, project manager at AluFoldDirect says: “This was a really exciting project to get involved with.

“I was heavily involved in site meetings and talks with project managers and it certainly helped to keep the project on track.

“Working closely with clients mean we can ensure deadlines aren’t missed and products arrive on time, every time.”
