AluFold Direct has a number of specific listed products that meet police-approved standards, Secured by Design. This is a flagship UK police initiative to help ‘design out’ crime through the use of high quality, innovative products and processes. AluFold Direct is also a member of the Official Police Security Initiative to help combat burglary and improve security. So that AluFold Direct can achieve the Secured by Design status, an assortment of our doors and windows have had to adhere to the organisation’s rigorous test standards. So you can be assured that the products you are installing are tried and tested to be safe and secure. Secured by Design’s membership scheme currently includes over 400 companies, including us, whose products have met the required standards.
The principles of Secured by Design have been proven to reduce the risk of crime and are the only form of police approval for products in the UK. This way you know that the products you are supplying to your customers are of the highest safety standards.
In Glasgow, research that was carried out highlighted that Secured by Design refurbishments are up to 63% less likely to experience crime. Subsequently, households who aren’t offered products that meet the membership scheme’s requirements after a burglary are 69% more likely to suffer a repeat incident than those who are offered advice and new windows and doors.
